Mike has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance leadership roles. His most recent experience has been focusing on helping small businesses achieve their goals. Mike has worked in a wide range of industries including healthcare, environmental services, and building products. He has an extensive background in strategic planning and budgeting, systems integration, manufacturing accounting, and supply chain management.
Before FocusCFO
Mike has served in senior financial leadership roles at several Fortune 500 companies such as Becton Dickinson, Westlake, and Republic Services. Over the past 2 years, Mike has worked with smaller, privately held companies providing guidance with strategic planning, profitability analysis, and staffing upgrades. Mike received his MBA from Bentley College in Waltham, MA and previously a BS in Accounting from UMass-Dartmouth. Mike is also a Certified Management Accounting (CMA).
- What is your favorite way to spend free time? I like to stay active. In addition to going to the gym, I enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, walking/hiking, and kayaking.
- What was your favorite vacation? Anywhere there is a beach. I spend most of my leisure time in the low country of South Carolina but still get back to New England on a regular basis.
- What is your favorite book? The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - it never gets old.

What attracted you
to FocusCFO?
I had some experience working independently as a Fractional CFO, but I was interesting in learning the best practices from the industry leader. I am excited to deliver a better experience to small business clients utilizing the powerful backing of the Focus CFO network.
