- What was your favorite vacation? I've been fortunate to have lived and worked in Europe. My wife and children have a particular fondness for the several vacations that we've taken in the Nice, France area including Antibes, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Cap Ferrat, Eze, and Monaco.
- What is your favorite way to spend free time? I love getting outside, hiking, golfing, and spending time at our beach place in Virginia Beach. I've exercised every single day since March 2020. Back in the day, I ran marathons and competed in triathlons but now it's an occasional 5K race.
- What is something most people don't know about you? The luckiest week of my life story when I was 21. I was on the Match Game winning $10,600, was on the Mike Douglas Show in a skit with Tom Lasorda and Don Rickles, spent an hour and a half with Frank Abagnale of "Catch me if you can" fame, and finally through random luck got a job at Kimberly-Clark where I worked for 24 years. I tell my students "you never know when opportunity might knock, be ready to take advantage."
