Gary has more than 40 years of experience in business and finance and has been with FocusCFO since 2024. Most of his experience has been as an executive in the banking and brokerage industries, serving as a CFO and Market President. He also has experience in spirits and home services businesses, and for non-profits as a consultant. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
Before FocusCFO
Prior to joining FocusCFO, Gary was Market President for First Horizon bank for the Tampa Bay Market. He also was CFO for a community bank and a brokerage firm in Tampa leading turnaround efforts to achieve profitability, raise capital, and has experience in mergers and acquisitions.
- What is your favorite way to spend free time? Spending time with family and traveling throughout the US and abroad. I am also an avid sports fan and particularly enjoy watching the Tennessee Vols.
- What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is a classic, It's a Wonderful Life. I watch it every year to remind myself of the impact one can have on others' lives.
- Something most people don't know about you: I have taken acting classes and enjoy presenting information in an informative and entertaining manner.
